Passion and tradition

The adventure, begun in 1946 with a potions production lab created by the passion and competence of young chemist Attilio Donati, is today an international Group operating on several logistic channels of cosmetics, pharmaceutical and dietary-food field.
Industrial medicines remained the core business of OFI until the Seventies, with preparations of different pharmaceutical types, primarily liquid preparations; injectable solutions for hospital use, eye-drops, washes, nasal decongestants, followed later by galenic remedies.
It was Alberto, with a degree in chemistry and pharmaceutical technology, who divesified production, moving the focus from medicines to parapharmaceutical preparations, dietary products and cosmetics, thereby offering OFI new prospects for development.
In 1982, the first specifically designed installation was built, launching OFI sectors which were complementary and similar in technology to the pharmaceutical sector: medico-surgical departments, diegnostic and above all cosmetic.
Between the end of 80's and the first 90's OFI starts to produce dietary-food supplements.
In July 1984, the new and present establishment was inaugurated and in 2001, in front of the existing building, another was inaugurated housing the laboratories, the administrative department and the commercial divisions.
